Goldgreen Preview“The Wolf told me that you tell lies,” I said. I wasn’t certain of the path I was taking by saying so, but I had already started so I felt I ought to finish. “He said you cheat and steal—I knew about that—but also that you lie.”   
Cephas shrugged. “People lie,” he said. “How do you know that Wolf weren’t lying?”   
I hadn’t thought of that, but I got the feeling Cephas was just dodging. “You’re saying you don’t lie?” I asked.

Rumorist TeaserPeople don’t last very long in this city. That’s why they say Pexdarelle means City of Death in ancient Echel or Im’pranze or something similar. But I don’t believe that for a second. I tend to think that sort of thing is the linguists trying to screw with us. At least more than usual.      
If they say Pexdarelle means City of Death, it’s because they make it that way. No, not the linguists. The other they. I’ve seen my fair share of death, and most of it could have been avoided somewhere along the line, by someone. But they did nothing. Because they were scared.

Tragimudury WinterA knock split the silence, and all eyes turned to the door. The fire crackled with the smell of burning moss. No one moved to see who was outside.  
 It’s winter, their eyes said. We don’t open for anyone in winter.   But a girl-child stirred and made to cross to the threshold, turning quickly to catch her grandmother’s eye. The old woman at her knitting said, “I once knew a man who opened for a stranger. The stranger was a spirit, and now the man is, too.”   The girl-child sat down.

Yup, started a new project!

It's under the working title "Goldgreen" and it's a bizarre little tale about a naive girl, a world-wise thief, and a landscape both familiar and strange. Totally fun. And I'm under pressure from myself (and roku^3) to actually finish it. I could always use more pressure (and fanart...I like fanart...I need more of that...).
